In the first call 392 applications were registered in the second 731 and third in 595, so the total for 2009, first year of the new model of allocation of premiums and powers, is 2488 entries.

For the department headed by Miguel Sebastian, the "large and increasing" number of applications filed in each of the four calls made pursuant to Royal Decree 1578/2008 states that "the new remuneration framework is very attractive and stable business promoters .

In this fourth edition 3099 initially presented petitions, of which 1135 were admitted for incorrectly submitted or incomplete, even after the error handling process. The remaining 1089 have not been included because, although they meet the requirements, do not fall within the quota established by Royal Decree mentioned above.

The selection procedure is the chronological order of applications. For the next call, the quota for the type I.1 (small plants in roof) will remain the same, while on the rates I.2 (large installations in ceiling) and II (plant floor) will be 61 , 64 MW and 49.94 MW, respectively.

Thus, the formula laid down in regulations, new rates for the first call of 2010 will be 34, 31.1665 and 28.1044 cents kilowatt hours (kWh) for such facilities I.1, I.2 and II, respectively.

While for type II the quota for the second quarter was 85.612 MW, have registered claims for the power of 89.948 MW, ie defect is covered by the regulations in response to the latest application details will be admitted disregard that which would not cover the planned quota. For the type I.1, the rate remains the same, not having covered 75% of the planned quota.

More than 3,900 MW of photovoltaic power.

The 2488 registered facilities in 2009 will develop a power of 502 MW. This annual amount is greater than was foreseen in the 2005-2010 Renewable Energy Plan for the entire period and rises to near the 3,900 MW cumulative power in Spain in operation or construction.

At this time, owners of the facilities have twelve months to complete their installation and to implement it to be entitled to such compensation for a period of 25 years.

Industry has also published today the output quota for the fifth call, which will be the first of 2010. The quota for the type I.1 remain the same and related to the types I.2 and II become of 61.64 MW and 49.94 M W, respectively, as a result of the excesses of power of the fourth convocation and the application of additional power quota for 2010 set out in Royal Decree 1578/2008.
